In order to carry out the study that I present, I have resorted to titles by authors such as Mestre Renato, Mestre Itapoan and Mestre Decanio, whom I esteem for their special dedication and contribution to the diffusion of Capoeira of Brazil.

In particular Mestre Renato -Luiz Renato Vieira, PhD (Sociology) at the Universidad de Brasília and University of Paris I; he is Mestre de Capoeira and Coordinator of the Centro de Capoeira at the Universidad de Brasília. He contributed selflessly with the article at the end of the essay (Annex II), which I translated trying to keep the narrative style of the author (although some of the information within had been mentioned before) trying not to change the content of such an appreciated historic-sociological reference about Capoeira. I thank Mestre Renato for his special attention and supervision during the development of this final stage of the book, always encouraging me with his constructive criticism until the finalization of the study presented here.

In the book you can find an appendix with the vocabulary most commonly used by capoeirists, created by Alvaro Letelier Hidalgo -Alumno Chile of the Centro Esportivo de Capoeira Angola Mestre João Pequeno de Pastinha-.
